Approximately 80 participants will collectively strategize how best to use the opportunity of the UN Framework Convention on International Tax Cooperation\, as well as the new Tax and Gender Subcommittee under the UN Tax Committee\, to advance fairer tax systems and bolster the economic and social rights of women and gender-diverse people\, in a context of both conflict and climate catastrophe. \nOrganized by: ActionAid International\, Akina Mama wa Afrika\, Center for Economic and Social Rights (CESR)\, Global Initiative for Economic\, Social and Cultural Rights (GI-ESCR)\, the Independent Commission for the Reform of International Corporate Taxation (ICRICT)\, MENAFem Movement for Economic Development and Ecological Justice\, Tax Justice Network\, the Women’s Environment and Development Organization (WEDO)\, Development Alternatives with Women for a New Era (DAWN)\, Tax and Education Alliance\, Friedrich Ebert Stiftung\, and the Tax and Gender Working Group convened by the Global Alliance for Tax Justice (GATJ)\, in partnership with IAFFE and hosted by Observatorio para la Equidad de las Mujeres\, Universidad ICESI.
